On this page, you can find technical videos with step by step explanations on how to scale up your simulations on the UberCloud platform. For a more general introduction you can check out our Webinar Page.
In this video you'll learn how to run Ansys Fluent in parallel over the network, or on a single cloud workstation. You'll learn how you can set the number of processes to match the cores you have, and how to activate parallel settings for distributed memory on a cluster. Once you start the computation you can monitor the processor load to see that all of your cores are working.
In this video you’ll learn how to run Ansys ICEPak on cloud based workstations and clusters. We'll learn how to prepare the host file that tells Ansys on what computers to run the simulation. We need to add one line for each core that we want to use. In ICEPak we'll go to Solver Settings and configure network parallel options to distribute the job correctly.
In this video you’ll learn how to set up your SIMULIA Abaqus model for parallelized computations on a single workstation. We'll chose the parallelization option to use multiple processors and set the multiprocessing mode to Threads. In the popup window you can see the log output and as soon as the computation has started, you can also see the computation steps and monitor the progress.
In this video you’ll learn how to set up your SIMULIA Abaqus model for parallelized computations on a multi-node cluster. We will use 2 nodes with 8 cores on each node and MPI multiprocessing mode. The number of domains will adjust automatically. Once the job has started you can see the log output and the computation steps. This way you can monitor the progress.
